9565 x 1. XK150 Bonnet Swinging Safety Catch hook and it is spring loaded to the base bracket which bolts onto the body bridge panel. The hook (hopefully) engages onto the angled, flat plate you can see at the base of the grille on the back when the cable triggers the release pin. Original Ref. Number BD13203

NOTE: This original safety catch is very flimsy and relies on catching against a flat plate attached to the back of the quite flexible grille. You cannot describe this as a solid, safe or dependable mechanism and we deal with flipped XK150 bonnets (plus grille and windshield) as regular insurance damage repair business.
